Cause for Paws Secures Fourth Thrift Store Site

Cause for Paws is about to get bigger with the addition of a fourth thrift store – this one located on North Market Drive.

“We are excited that we secured the Market Street location; the addition of this fourth store will allow us to help more animals,” said CFP Founder Charles McCombs. “This gives us three distinct Raleigh addresses – coupled with our Zebulon store, there’s a convenient spot for anyone who wants to shop or donate to a Cause for Paws store.”

CFP-NC is a non-profit group that rescues dogs and cats. A portion of the profits from the thrift stores support the rescue efforts. Donations are tax deductible and the store accepts gently used items for resale. Items can be dropped off daily at the existing stores or Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the new location.

McCombs says renovations to the 12,000 square feet building are already underway to meet an ambitious opening date of mid-December. The store is at 1657 North Market Drive.
“We want to open our doors before Christmas to draw in holiday shoppers. A grand opening is being planned to help us celebrate; it will be combined with an adoption event of dogs and cats looking for permanent homes,” he said. “And of course our customers are always welcome to bring their pets shopping with them at any of our stores.”
