Dallas is a handsome Blue Brindle Pit mix rescued from a rural shelter. He adjusted quickly and nicely to his foster home where he is getting along great with both cats and various size dogs! He weighs 50 pounds and is about 2-years-old. He is very gentle, but incredibly strong and excitable so we recommend no small children or senior dogs.
The vet diagnosed him as heartworm positive, and started him on treatment. As one can imagine, vet visits and treatment can be costly, and Dallas’ care is no different at an estimate of around $450. We are asking our generous CFP nation to contribute to Dallas’ vet expenses and become a “Dallas Donor” at www.cfp-nc.org/donate/
(Heartworm is not a liability and is not contagious to dogs who are on a preventative. Dallas is up for adoption — if you would like to meet him, please start by filling our our adoption app at www.cfp-nc.org/adopt.)
