DOG ADOPTION FEES
$225 for dogs over 1-year of age
$325 for dogs under 1-year of age
What’s Included in the Adoption Fee?
Dogs receive their distemper/parvo boosters; depending on the age they are adopted, puppies may need additional boosters which are covered by the adoption fee. The fee also covers a one-year rabies vaccine and microchip. Any dog over 8-weeks is on monthly flea/heartworm preventative. Our vet will also run a heartworm test on dogs over 1-year.
Adoption fees include neuter/spay (see deposit info above), which is usually done between ages 4 and 6 months. If a dog is adopted prior to the neuter/spay, the adoption fee will cover the costs at a CFP vet. We will also cover microchip and rabies at the time of spay/neuter surgery if not already done.
*Spay/neuter deposits must be requested by the adopter post-surgery. It takes 2-3 weeks for processing and will be sent as a check in the US Postal Service. If a request is not made for reimbursement, the rescue will consider it a donation and use the funds for other medical needs.
